Black Edition

Zkara Tempest

Zkara Tempest has a cool charcoal-grey ground broken by uneven vertical bands, giving the surface a weathered, dimensional appearance. Fine taupe and silvery accents catch across the darker base rather than forming a rigid stripe.

About this fabric

The design is made up of closely spaced, irregular vertical marks that vary in width and intensity across the swatch. Charcoal and slate-grey tones dominate, while muted taupe-grey highlights soften the contrast and add a gently mottled character. Its visibly dense, striated surface reads as substantial and tactile, making this fabric particularly convincing for structured upholstery. No composition, width or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Tempest on a clean-lined sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its cool charcoal tone can anchor softer neutrals. Pair it with brushed metal, pale stone and warm timber to draw out the subtle taupe threads.

Its dense-looking vertical texture and charcoal depth make it well suited to tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Zkara Tempest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
