Zkara Fabric

Susa Basalt is a pale, warm grey fabric with a softly mottled surface and a fine scattering of darker flecks. Its restrained tonal variation gives the light ground subtle depth without introducing a strong pattern.

About this fabric

The image shows a closely textured woven fabric in a gentle basalt-grey tone, softened by warm beige-grey undertones. Tiny charcoal and taupe flecks are dispersed across the surface, creating a lightly weathered finish rather than a defined motif. The fine weave catches the light in small shifts, so the colour reads brighter across raised areas and slightly deeper in the texture. As a fabric, this versatile mid-weight-looking design can suit both upholstery and drapery where quiet tonal interest is wanted.

How to use it

Pair Susa Basalt with chalky whites, pale oak and soft taupes for a calm, warm-neutral room. Its barely mottled surface also works well on a tailored chair or full-length curtains where the flecks can be seen at close range.

Use its softly mottled warm-grey tone to bring quiet texture to upholstery, cushions or relaxed window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
