About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke fabric weighs 447gsm, giving the densely patterned floral design a substantial presence suited to upholstery. Large chrysanthemum-like blooms and smaller scattered flowers appear in violet, magenta, coral pink, turquoise blue and creamy beige, while dark green foliage and the near-black ground deepen the overall palette. The Amethyst/Emerald colourway reads cool and jewel-like in its greens and purples, with warmer pink and cream petals catching the eye across the surface. Its 138cm usable width accommodates the 68.5cm vertical and 138cm horizontal pattern repeat, allowing the broad floral arrangement to be planned clearly across a piece.

How to use it

Use Tahiti Amethyst/Emerald for a statement armchair, headboard or ottoman where its cool emerald and amethyst depth can lead the scheme. Pick out the coral and cream flowers with restrained plain cushions, or echo the dark ground with stained timber and charcoal accents.

Use this richly coloured floral on statement upholstery, balancing its amethyst, emerald and coral tones with dark wood or quiet neutral walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
