Astral Wallpaper Midnight is shown here as a deep blue-green teal ground with a subdued, finely crosshatched surface. Its dark tone reads cool and atmospheric, while the delicate vertical and horizontal texture keeps the finish visually nuanced.

About this fabric

The Midnight colourway has a dense blue-teal tone that shifts subtly between charcoal, slate and green as the light catches the surface. Fine vertical striations and softer horizontal lines create a quiet, linen-like texture across the image without introducing a bold visible motif. Made from 100% vinyl on a non-woven base, it has an approximately 64cm vertical repeat and 70cm horizontal repeat. The deep, low-contrast colouring gives the design a composed and sophisticated presence on the wall.

How to use it

Use Midnight to create a cocooning study, bedroom or dining space, pairing its cool blue-green depth with smoked timber, aged brass and warm neutral upholstery. Against pale stone or chalky shades, the subtle textured ground becomes the room’s atmospheric backdrop.

A deep midnight teal ground with a restrained crosshatched texture, suited to atmospheric contemporary interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
