About this fabric

This Delaney fabric by Jane Churchill has a delicate horizontal stripe formed by fine olive-green dots across a warm neutral ground. The colourway feels muted and earthy rather than bright, with the small repeat of V 2cm / H 1cm approx creating a steady, tailored rhythm. At 142cm approx wide and woven in 33% viscose, 23% linen, 15% cotton, 10% acrylic, 9% polyester, 7% wool and 3% polyamide, it has the character of a versatile mixed-fibre cloth with a softly textured handle. The overall effect is crisp but relaxed, with the green threads just dark enough to stand out cleanly against the lighter background.

How to use it

Use Riley Green for upholstered occasional chairs, bench seats or cushions where the fine stripe can add subtle structure. It also works well in calm country-inspired schemes with oak, stone and warm white finishes.

A quietly patterned olive stripe that adds texture without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
