Amery Old Blue

Millbrook FabricF4227-03

Amery Old Blue has a calm, cool blue-grey ground with a tiny, regular woven motif that reads almost like a refined micro-check. The overall effect is quietly textured rather than boldly patterned.

About this fabric

This Millbrook fabric from Colefax and Fowler is woven in 63% Cotton, 26% Viscose and 11% Linen, giving the surface a crisp but softly softened handle. The repeat is a very small vertical and horizontal pattern, approximately 1cm by 1cm, which keeps the design neat and understated across the 145cm approx width. In this Old Blue colourway, the weave appears more slate-grey than strong blue, with a slightly misty, muted finish that catches the light gently. With no performance features noted and a √CM fire code, it is a versatile upholstery or drapery cloth for polished interior schemes.

How to use it

Use this soft blue-grey to bring subtle pattern to upholstered dining chairs, cushions or relaxed curtains, especially alongside pale oak, chalk white or deeper navy accents. Its cool, restrained tone helps larger pieces feel tailored without becoming dominant.

A cool, understated blue-grey that works neatly across classic seating and tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Amery Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
