GAR2212 from Cristina Marrone’s Garda collection is a cool blue-teal chenille with a finely mottled, almost mineral-like surface. Its pale aqua cast is deepened by tiny charcoal and darker teal yarn flecks visible across the close weave.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide chenille has a compact, tactile texture that reads as softly speckled rather than patterned. The colour sits between blue and green, with a greyed aqua base that keeps the overall effect calm and understated. Small variations in the yarn catch the light across the surface, giving the shade gentle depth without a strong directional motif. GAR2212 is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery and is machine washable. It carries domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this muted blue-teal on a contemporary sofa, footstool or dining chair where its cool aqua-grey tone can be balanced with warm timber, natural oak or soft cream walls. Pair it with charcoal accents to pick up the darker flecks in the weave.
