About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester chenille, GAR2217 has a tactile, close-knit surface that shifts subtly between charcoal, mid-grey and lighter woven highlights. At 138cm wide, it is sized for upholstery applications and is graded for both Contract and Domestic use. The fabric is machine washable, adding practical convenience to its dark, forgiving colour. Its flame-retardancy specification is Domestic Cig & Match, with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this cool, mottled charcoal grey on a structured sofa, dining chair or upholstered headboard, where its small-scale nubby weave will add depth to clean-lined forms. Pair it with pale stone, brushed metal or warm timber to balance the darker tone without losing its smart, understated character.

A versatile charcoal-grey chenille for tailored seating, headboards and contemporary occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
