About this fabric

This 138cm-wide chenille is woven from 100% polyester and has the substantial, close texture visible in the swatch. Its charcoal-grey ground shifts gently between graphite and softer grey as the small woven surface catches the light. The restrained tonal variation gives the colourway a smart, quietly tailored character rather than a glossy or high-contrast finish. It is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery, machine washable, and rated for Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy; it can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this deep charcoal-grey on a sofa, dining chair or occasional seat where its dark, softly textured surface can anchor lighter walls, timber and brushed metal. Its neutral graphite tone also works well as a unifying upholstery colour in a layered scheme.

The deep charcoal-grey tone and compact chenille texture give upholstery a grounded, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
