About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, MOD2240 is a 138cm-wide flat weave specified for both contract and domestic upholstery. The close, fine weave has a subtle crosshatched grain, while the dark blue-grey tone gives furniture a calm, tailored presence. Its colour sits between cool slate and softened charcoal, making it more nuanced than a flat black or straightforward navy. The fabric carries Contract GreenFR® Plus flame retardancy and requires professional aftercare.

How to use it

Pair this cool slate blue-grey with pale oak, smoked timber or warm stone to soften its depth, or use it on a structured sofa where the fine weave can read as quietly architectural. It also works well as a grounding upholstery colour alongside muted blue, grey and off-white accents.

Use this deep slate blue-grey weave to bring quiet depth to sofas, dining chairs and contract seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
