Big Timer

This shade reads as a soft taupe-brown grey with enough warmth to keep it from feeling cold, but enough grey to stay restrained. Its depth absorbs light rather than bouncing it back, so it makes a room feel more enclosed and settled. In north-facing light it can look cooler and a little more stony, while in south-facing light the brown undertone comes forward and it feels calmer and richer. It works well beside natural linens, biscuit and mushroom upholstery, and against timber in mid oak, walnut or painted joinery in lighter neutrals. In Flat Matt and Flat Matt Claypaint it will feel especially quiet on walls, while Eggshell and Soft Sheen suit woodwork that needs a little more definition.
