Tarim Blue

Fabrics Fabric100

Tarim Blue presents a quiet landscape in fine blue linework, drawn across a pale ivory ground. Small buildings, trees and a winding waterway give the swatch the character of a delicately sketched scene.

About this fabric

The cool blue outlines remain gently softened against the warm ivory background, creating a restrained, lightly graphic colourway rather than a high-contrast print. The large-scale scene includes domed structures, sparse trees and a meandering river, with generous open ground between the details. Its fine-looking surface reads as a light textile, making drapery the most natural application. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Tarim Blue for full-length curtains or a Roman blind in a calm, light-filled room, pairing the ivory ground with pale timber and the muted blue with washed denim or soft grey accents.

Use this cool, softly illustrated colourway for curtains or relaxed Roman blinds, allowing the ivory ground to keep the room light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
