Tarim Grey

Fabrics Fabric170

Tarim Grey presents a quiet mountain landscape in delicate grey linework over a pale, softly textured ground. The restrained colour gives the scene an airy, almost mist-washed appearance.

About this fabric

The fabric has a fine horizontal weave that subtly breaks up the pale grey surface without competing with the drawn peaks, trees and distant architectural details. Its light-looking handle and finely worked scenic illustration read more naturally as drapery than as hard-wearing upholstery. The supplied record notes no performance features for this colourway, so its suitability should be assessed according to the intended curtain or blind application.

How to use it

Use Tarim Grey at a window in a calm bedroom, study or sitting room, pairing its cool, muted mountain scene with chalky whites, pale stone and understated grey upholstery. Full-length curtains will allow the layered peaks and small tree details to remain legible.

Use this softly toned scenic fabric for airy curtains or relaxed Roman blinds, where its fine landscape drawing can be seen in full.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
