Thelonious Ardesia

Upholstery fabrics Fabric001

Thelonious Ardesia is a deep charcoal-grey textile with a densely mottled surface and a cool, slate-like cast. Fine light and dark flecks move across the swatch, giving the plain weave visible depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The close, irregular weave combines charcoal, graphite and softer grey threads in a peppered surface. Subtle horizontal tonal shifts are visible across the swatch, adding a restrained sense of movement while keeping the overall colour dark and composed. Its substantial-looking woven texture makes it best suited to upholstery applications. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification, so no additional performance claim is made here.

How to use it

Use Thelonious Ardesia on a structured armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool slate-grey tone can anchor warmer timber, brushed metal or softly coloured textiles. The small-scale mottling is particularly effective in understated, contemporary rooms that need depth without a pronounced pattern.

A deep charcoal-grey woven texture that brings quiet depth to tailored upholstery and contemporary seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
