Tiger Mountain Petrified Wood

Upholstery fabrics Fabric003

Tiger Mountain Petrified Wood is a deeply shaded charcoal textile scattered with pale, irregular forms that resemble cut stone or fossilised wood. The contrast gives this colourway a graphic, quietly dramatic presence.

About this fabric

The dense charcoal ground has a subtle green-black cast, while chalky ivory and stone-coloured lines trace large, broken organic motifs across the surface. Smaller pale circular forms interrupt the dark field, adding visual rhythm between the larger sweeping shapes. The close, tactile weave and substantial appearance make it best suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub-test or performance-feature data has been supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this charcoal-black colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its pale fossil-like pattern can be seen clearly. Balance the dark ground with oak, walnut, aged brass and soft stone neutrals rather than adding another strong pattern.

Pair the charcoal-black ground with warm timber, aged metal and quiet neutral upholstery for a graphic, grounded interior.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
