Tricot Blue is a deep blue-charcoal textile with a finely ridged horizontal surface. Its close, even weave gives the swatch a dark, subtly varied appearance as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

The swatch is woven in a near-black blue-charcoal tone, with closely spaced horizontal yarn lines creating restrained texture rather than a visible motif. Small shifts between blue and charcoal threads keep the surface from reading as completely flat, while preserving its deep, cool character. The cloth appears dense and structured in this image, making it most naturally suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Tricot Blue on a tailored armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool blue-charcoal depth can anchor pale timber, chalky walls and brushed metal. Its fine horizontal texture also works well with other quiet, linear surfaces rather than busy pattern.

A deep blue-charcoal woven texture for tailored upholstery and understated contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
