Fire-retardant Fabric002

Fr Alabastro Calacatta pairs a warm ivory ground with pale taupe bands that ripple into broad, irregular points across the surface. The low-contrast colouring keeps the graphic pattern calm and softly architectural.

About this fabric

The large motif is formed from layered, undulating lines that create repeated downward-facing chevron shapes, with an almost mineral or animal-stripe character. Its pale taupe markings sit gently against the creamy ground rather than creating a sharp contrast, giving the design a muted, light-catching depth. A subtle surface texture is visible throughout the swatch, particularly where the patterned bands break into softly irregular edges. This fabric is catalogued as a Fabric in Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection, with no additional performance features noted.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory colourway to bring patterned softness to a pale neutral room, where the taupe chevrons can echo limestone, travertine or light wood. It would suit a statement chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtains when a large motif is desired without strong colour contrast.

A softly textured ivory-and-taupe design that brings quiet pattern and refined movement to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
