Akhlat Dorato

Jacquard fabrics Fabric001

Akhlat Dorato combines a warm ivory ground with softly weathered taupe forms that drift across the surface like enlarged, painterly botanicals. The visible jacquard weave gives the pale colourway gentle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The design is woven with broad, irregular shapes in muted taupe, creating a loose organic pattern against the creamy ivory base. Fine crosswise texture remains visible through both shades, giving the surface a softly nubby, tactile character. Its substantial-looking woven handle reads as a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Akhlat Dorato where its warm ivory ground can lighten a room while the taupe pattern adds quiet movement—on a statement chair, relaxed curtains or a tailored bench alongside timber and stone.

Pair the warm ivory and taupe ground with natural timber, quiet neutrals and softly aged finishes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Akhlat Dorato without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
