About this fabric

This Dedar jacquard fabric is patterned with palms in varied sizes, their feathery crowns overlapping across the blue-grey field. The near-black navy foliage creates strong depth and contrast, while the cooler ground keeps the overall impression misty rather than warm. A fine visible weave softens the edges of the silhouettes and gives the surface a subtly textured appearance. With no further performance specification supplied, its medium-looking woven handle is best considered for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Notturno against chalky whites, charcoal and weathered wood, where its slate ground reads cool and the dark palms provide a decisive graphic accent. It would make a particularly atmospheric blind, curtain or occasional chair covering.

Use the cool slate ground and inky palm silhouettes to bring graphic depth to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
