Alpaca Alto Biliardo

Velvet fabrics Velvet024

Alpaca Alto Biliardo is a profoundly dark velvet in a forest-teal shade that sits close to black in the swatch image. Its plain surface is defined by a soft, barely directional nap rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The colour reads as a cool, deep green with a blue-teal undertone, giving the cloth a quiet, almost nocturnal depth. Fine changes in the nap create subtle vertical tonal movement across the otherwise plain velvet surface. As a catalogued Velvet fabric, it has the dense, softly reflective appearance associated with velvet and is best suited to upholstery. No performance features are noted for this colourway.

How to use it

Use the near-black forest-teal tone on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its depth can anchor lighter stone, warm timber and brushed-metal accents. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the velvet’s understated nap remains visible.

Use this near-black forest-teal velvet to bring depth and a quietly dramatic finish to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
