Alpaca Alto Deep Forest

Velvet fabrics Velvet025

Alpaca Alto Deep Forest is a profoundly dark velvet, reading as forest green with almost-black depth across the face of the swatch. Its plain surface is enlivened by a soft, subtly directional pile that catches the light without introducing a visible pattern.

About this fabric

The colour sits at the deepest end of the green spectrum, with a cool, inky character that becomes more legible where the velvet nap reflects light. A fine tonal variation across the surface gives the plain cloth a gently clouded appearance rather than a flat block of colour. The swatch has the dense, plush visual weight associated with velvet and is best suited to upholstery, particularly where a dark, enveloping finish is wanted. No composition, width, rub test or additional performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use this deep forest green on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair when the room calls for a moody, cocooning anchor. Pair its near-black depth with warm wood, aged brass and softly lit neutrals so the velvet’s subtle nap remains visible.

A near-black forest tone and softly shifting velvet pile bring depth and richness to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
