Script Tabacco is a deep, warm brown velvet with a softly luminous surface and irregular raised lines that trace an abstract, organic pattern. Its tobacco tone reads rich and earthy rather than bright, giving the swatch a grounded depth.

About this fabric

The velvet ground is a saturated tobacco brown, with subtle shifts in tone where the pile catches the light. Raised, flowing lines move across the surface in broad, uneven sections, creating a large-scale abstract motif reminiscent of branching forms or contour marks. The combination of plush pile and tactile linear pattern gives this Dedar design a particularly luxe, sculptural character. As a velvet, it is best suited to upholstery, especially where its warm depth and relief can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Pair Script Tabacco with dark timber, aged brass and warm neutral upholstery for a layered room with an earthy, enveloping feel. Its deep brown tone also works as a confident accent on a statement armchair or headboard.

Use this deep tobacco velvet to bring warmth and sculptural texture to upholstered chairs, sofas or headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
