Ripley Tabacco

Fire-retardant Fabric001

Ripley Tabacco presents a deep, warm tobacco-brown ground patterned with closely spaced scalloped lines. The darker surface gives the colourway a rich, enveloping depth, while the warmer lines catch the light across the swatch.

About this fabric

The design is formed from repeated rows of shallow arch shapes, outlined in fine copper-brown lines that create a measured, rhythmic texture. Against the near-chocolate ground, the pattern remains understated but clearly legible, with a softly dimensional effect. The surface appears dense and subtly directional, allowing small changes in light to draw out the contrast between the dark brown base and the warmer motif. Ripley Tabacco is part of Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection.

How to use it

Use this warm tobacco colourway to upholster a statement armchair, dining chair or compact sofa, particularly alongside aged wood, bronze metal and muted cream accents. Its dark ground can also anchor a room built around caramel, rust and other earthy tones.

A deep tobacco ground and softly gleaming scalloped lines give this substantial textile a warm, tailored presence on upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
