About this fabric

This curtain velvet is visibly substantial, with a soft pile that absorbs light in the pleats while allowing the olive and yellow-green marks to emerge across the face. The pattern reads as irregular, horizontal organic striping rather than a neat geometric repeat, giving the fabric a natural, almost animal-like rhythm. Laurustine is a shadowy, moss-toned colourway: the black accents deepen it, while the subdued chartreuse highlights stop it from appearing flat. In the window setting shown, the dark velvet contrasts strongly with the pale trim and daylight beyond.

How to use it

Use Laurustine for full-length curtains in a snug library, dining room or dark botanical scheme, where its deep olive tone can sit alongside walnut, aged brass and warm neutral walls. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the expressive striped velvet remains the room’s focal point.
