About this fabric

The dark ground makes the large roses, chrysanthemums and smaller scattered blooms appear especially vivid, while the varied flowers create an intricate, all-over composition. Coral and dusky pink roses bring warmth, balanced by cream blooms, muted blue flowers and yellow-gold highlights. Dark foliage and shadowed stems weave between the blossoms, preserving the dramatic midnight character rather than creating a bright floral. As a velvet, its softly light-catching surface complements the depth and saturated colour of this design.
