Orkney Boucle Fabric

Orkney Wasabi is a close, nubby textile in a muted wasabi olive shade. Its softly mottled surface gives the colour gentle depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The dense bouclé texture is visibly made up of short, irregular loops, creating a softly brushed and tactile surface across the swatch. Its olive-green tone leans earthy and slightly yellow, with lighter fibres catching the light through the pile. The all-over texture has no visible motif or directional pattern, keeping the appearance calm and understated. No composition, width, rub test or performance feature has been supplied for this colourway, so suitability should be confirmed against the intended application.

How to use it

Pair this subdued wasabi olive with natural timber, warm neutrals and softly tailored forms for a relaxed, tactile upholstery scheme. Its yellow-green cast also works as a gentle contrast against charcoal, clay or deep brown accents.

Use this muted wasabi olive on relaxed upholstery where its dense bouclé texture can be appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
