About this fabric
The surface has a compact, looped appearance, with closely spaced horizontal rows creating a subtly ridged texture. Its warm taupe base is softened by lighter fibres and punctuated with deeper grey-brown threads, so it reads as nuanced rather than flat. As a catalogued Carpet textile, its substantial woven appearance makes it best suited to upholstery, particularly where a tactile, low-pattern finish is wanted. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.
How to use it
Use Chia on a sofa, armchair or upholstered headboard where its warm greige tone can soften darker timber and complement cream, stone and muted brown furnishings. The restrained woven texture also works well as a calm counterpoint to patterned cushions.
A densely textured greige-taupe weave that brings quiet warmth and tactile depth to upholstered seating.
Pairs well with
Chia is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
