Sarawak presents a soft cream ground threaded with delicate taupe-grey variation. Its dense, close-set weave gives the surface a quietly tactile, gently irregular appearance.

About this fabric

This textile is supplied as a Carpet and has a substantial woven look suited to upholstery. Fine loops and compact horizontal and vertical threads create a small-scale, softly pebbled texture across the surface. The colourway stays light and neutral, with warm cream softened by cool grey and taupe flecks rather than a flat single tone. Subtle changes in the weave catch the light, giving the fabric restrained depth without a pronounced pattern.

How to use it

Use Sarawak on a lounge chair, sofa or footstool in a calm room of chalky whites, pale timber and stone tones. Its cream-grey balance can bridge warmer beige furnishings with cooler grey accents.

Use this dense, softly mottled neutral on upholstered seating where its tactile weave can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
