Storm

Seoni Carpet

Storm is a deep taupe-brown colourway with a cool, earthy cast. Its surface is visibly built from closely spaced, irregular horizontal ribs that give the dark ground a softly broken appearance.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a dense, heavy-looking textile surface with fine horizontal lines rather than a printed motif. Charcoal, brown and taupe threads appear layered across the face, creating subtle tonal variation as the ridges catch the light. The supplied specification lists no composition, width, rub test or performance features for this colourway, so its suitability here is judged from the substantial carpet-like weave visible in the image.

How to use it

Use Storm on a structured chair, ottoman or sofa where its deep taupe-brown tone can anchor warm timber, stone and muted neutral schemes. Pair it with lighter boucle or plain linen to draw out the contrast between its closely ribbed face and smoother surrounding surfaces.

The deep taupe-brown ground and fine horizontal texture bring understated depth to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
