About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Dakota Suede Charcoal is a plain upholstery textile with a dark brown-charcoal appearance. The close image shows a smooth, subtly napped surface rather than a visible woven motif, with gentle tonal variation where the light moves across the pile. Its low sheen keeps the colour restrained and architectural, while the brown warmth prevents the charcoal from reading as a flat, cold black. The result is a tactile, luxe-looking finish for upholstered forms where depth and softness matter.

How to use it

Pair this warm charcoal-brown with aged timber, smoked metal and soft stone shades for a grounded, intimate scheme. It is especially effective on a generous armchair, sofa or dining seat where the brushed surface can be seen close up.

Use this deep brown-charcoal suede texture to give upholstered seating a dark, softly luxurious finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
