About this fabric

The muted taupe base has a softly earthy warmth, while the charcoal-grey pattern gives the colourway definition without making it feel stark. Repeating rosettes sit among curling, petal-like outlines, creating a dense floral composition with an almost engraved appearance. Fine tonal variation across the surface allows the darker pattern to shift gently as the light moves over it. The visible texture and substantial-looking woven structure make this an especially considered choice for upholstered furniture.

How to use it

Use Ammonite - Boise on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa where its warm taupe ground can soften the room while the charcoal floral tracery supplies formal definition. Balance it with plain oatmeal, stone and deep charcoal textiles rather than introducing another busy pattern.

Use this ornate taupe-and-charcoal colourway to bring layered pattern and quiet depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
