About this fabric

The swatch shows an even, short plush with a very low-contrast surface and no visible motif or pattern. In the light, the pile shifts gently between blackened brown and softer charcoal-mole tones rather than reading as a flat black. Its dense, velvety appearance makes it upholstery-led, particularly for pieces where the direction of the pile can add quiet tonal movement. No composition, width, rub-test rating or performance features have been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use this near-black mole brown on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman to create depth without the sharper contrast of true black. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and chalky neutrals to draw out the shade’s subtle brown warmth.
