About this fabric

The woven surface is predominantly rust orange, with darker and lighter threads creating gentle tonal variation across the swatch. A close, vertical texture is visible rather than a printed motif, giving this plain fabric tactile depth without adding pattern. The warm, earthy shade reads more muted than bright orange, with a softly shaded character that changes subtly across the surface. Its balanced appearance makes it suitable for either upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use Town Rust to warm a neutral room with a confident terracotta accent, or pair it with walnut, aged brass and cream upholstery for a layered, burnished scheme. Its restrained vertical texture also works well alongside patterned cushions without competing for attention.

A warm, burnished orange textile that adds depth to upholstery, curtains and layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
