Etsu Wallcovering French Grey

Etsu Wallcoverings Wallpaper

Etsu Wallcovering French Grey has a finely striated surface that reads as a cool, quietly variegated grey. Pale blue, warm taupe and lighter threads move horizontally through the ground, giving the colourway subtle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this wallpaper

This wallpaper presents a close, linear texture made from many slim horizontal marks, with the eye drawn across the surface rather than to a pronounced motif. Its French grey base is cool and softly muted, while pale blue-grey and restrained taupe notes add gentle warmth and tonal variation. The fine striation catches the light unevenly, creating a lightly weathered, tactile impression without a strong contrast. As a wallpaper colourway, it brings understated movement to the wall while retaining a composed, modern feel.

How to use it

Use this cool French grey on a full wall or as a quiet backdrop behind pale timber, brushed metal and blue-grey furnishings. Keep adjoining textiles softly tonal so the wallpaper’s fine horizontal variation remains visible.

Pair this cool French grey with pale timber, chalky whites and muted blue-grey upholstery for a calm, layered scheme.

Pairs well with

Etsu Wallcovering French Grey is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
