Mikado Wallcovering Charcoal

Mikado Wallcovering Charcoal places pale, blossom-like buds and fine taupe branches against a deep charcoal-grey ground. The high-contrast pattern reads as graphic and atmospheric in this colourway.

About this wallpaper

As a wallpaper from Romo’s Floris Wallcoverings collection, Mikado Wallcovering Charcoal is shown with a dense branching botanical motif. The near-black charcoal background gives the design a cool, shadowed depth, while the soft ivory buds stand out clearly across the surface. Slender taupe-brown stems add a muted warmth beneath the brighter marks. The large-scale arrangement creates sweeping movement rather than a small, repetitive sprig effect.

How to use it

Use this charcoal colourway on a feature wall where its ivory buds can stand out against the dark ground. Balance the dramatic botanical pattern with warm taupe, cream and charcoal furnishings.

Use this dark botanical wallpaper to bring graphic contrast and a quietly dramatic tone to a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mikado Wallcovering Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
