Mikado Wallcovering Storm

Mikado Wallcovering Storm places loose, pale catkin branches across a cool blue-grey ground. Fine warm brown stems add delicate contrast beneath the ivory buds.

About this wallpaper

The Storm colourway is defined by its muted blue-grey background, giving the design a calm, gently atmospheric depth. Ivory-white catkins travel in branching sprays across the surface, with irregular rounded buds that keep the botanical motif natural rather than rigid. Slender ochre-brown stems show through between the pale forms and bring a subtle warmth to the otherwise cool palette. As a wallpaper from the Floris Wallcoverings collection, it creates a softly graphic botanical backdrop with clearly visible tonal contrast.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-grey wallpaper in a bedroom, hallway or quiet sitting room with ivory upholstery and pale, warm timber. Echo the fine ochre stems with brass, tan leather or other restrained golden-brown accents.

Pair the cool Storm ground with warm timber, natural textures and soft ivory furnishings.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mikado Wallcovering Storm without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
