Lyra Wallcovering Thunder

Lyra Wallcovering Thunder is a cool grey wallcovering with a finely peppered surface that shifts between pale grey and charcoal flecks. Its close-grained appearance gives the colour a softly atmospheric depth.

About this wallpaper

The Thunder colourway reads as a balanced, cool grey rather than a flat solid, with dense light and dark speckling visible across the surface. The small-scale variation creates a subtle grain-like texture without introducing a distinct printed motif. As a wallpaper, it is suited to wall covering; no performance features are noted in the supplied specification. The overall effect is quiet and textural, with the mottled finish lending gentle movement to an otherwise restrained shade.

How to use it

Use Thunder across a study, bedroom or softly lit sitting room when a cool grey background is preferred over a plain painted wall. Pair it with pale timber, charcoal accents and muted blue-grey textiles to echo the colourway’s fine tonal variation.

Use Thunder as a calm, cool-grey backdrop where its fine peppered texture adds depth without a pronounced motif.

Pairs well with

Lyra Wallcovering Thunder is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
