About this fabric

The design combines symmetrical floral medallions with scrolling leaves and small curling flourishes, repeated in a balanced vertical arrangement. A pale grey ground sits beneath slightly deeper grey motifs, while lighter threads and fine vertical striations create gentle tonal movement across the surface. The cool silver cast keeps the traditional damask from feeling heavy, giving the pattern a quiet, washed quality in this colourway. No composition, width, rub test or performance features were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Adachi Quill on a refined occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain where its pale silver-grey tone can sit alongside ivory, chalk and soft charcoal. The scrolling damask brings traditional structure without overwhelming a light, neutral room.

Pair this pale silver-grey damask with chalky neutrals for a light, quietly traditional scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
