Hito Spice

Itami Fabric

Hito Spice pairs a hazy blue-grey ground with warm spice-coloured threads in a strongly graphic woven design. Repeated hourglass and diamond forms create a rhythmic pattern with a softly tactile, mottled appearance.

About this fabric

The design is built from mirrored zigzags that gather into large hourglass shapes, with smaller broken marks giving the pattern a woven, almost ikat-like edge. Its blue-grey ground reads cool and atmospheric, while muted peach, tan and copper-spice threads add warmth without becoming bright. Subtle tonal variation across the surface softens the geometry and gives the repeated forms visual depth. As a versatile fabric, this colourway can work across both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Hito Spice to add pattern to a streamlined sofa, occasional chair or headboard, balancing its dusty blue tone with warm timber, brushed brass and softly coloured neutrals. It also makes atmospheric curtains where the larger geometric repeat can be read across the full drop.

The muted blue-grey ground and warm spice tracery bring softly graphic depth to contemporary upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
