Yara Iron

Mokolo Fabric

Yara Iron has a deep charcoal-grey tone with the cool, steely cast suggested by its name. Viewed closely, its tightly woven surface reveals a subtle, even texture rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven in near-black grey and softer iron-grey threads, creating quiet tonal variation across the surface. Its close plain weave forms a fine, regular grid that gives the swatch a substantial visual density. The finish appears matte, with only restrained light variation across the tightly packed threads. This is a dark, understated colourway whose depth reads as smart and architectural rather than warm or rustic.

How to use it

Use Yara Iron on a tailored sofa, dining chair or occasional chair where its cool charcoal tone can anchor pale stone, timber and brushed-metal finishes. It also works well as a dark contrast against warm neutrals and textured boucle fabrics.

Its dense, finely grained weave and cool charcoal tone suit tailored upholstery and contemporary seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
