Mikado Red Coral

Lorcan Fabric

Mikado Red Coral pairs a pale warm-grey woven ground with delicate branching stems, ivory leaves and small touches of muted coral. The sparse, airy arrangement lets the subtle red accents punctuate the design without overpowering it.

About this fabric

The fabric has a fine, even weave in a soft warm grey, overlaid with slender charcoal-grey branches that rise vertically across the cloth. Small ivory leaf forms create the main rhythm, while occasional red-coral marks add concentrated flashes of colour at the branch tips and joints. The pale ground and fine linework give this colourway a light, quietly tailored appearance rather than a dense or dramatic botanical effect. No composition, width or rub-test information is supplied, and no performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it where a warm grey textile with delicate ivory foliage will soften a scheme without adding visual weight; the muted coral details work particularly well as an accent alongside coral, chalk or deeper charcoal tones.

Use the warm grey ground and restrained coral accents to bring a light botanical note to curtains, cushions or occasional upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mikado Red Coral without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
