Lulu Deep River

Temperleylondonxromofabrics Fabric

Lulu Deep River combines a deep blue-green ground with a tightly scattered, irregular fleck that reads almost mineral-like across the surface. The dark tone absorbs the light in the image, while warm copper-brown details keep the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric

The visible surface has a dense, softly nubby texture with small, broken flecks rather than a clearly defined repeating motif. Deep teal and blue-green tones dominate, with muted copper-brown highlights tracing the uneven pattern and adding subtle warmth. Its close, substantial-looking weave gives the fabric a composed, upholstery-led character. In changing light, the darker ground recedes while the warmer flecks catch the eye in fine, scattered points.

How to use it

Use Lulu Deep River on a statement armchair, footstool or sofa where its dark teal depth can anchor a room. Pair it with aged wood, burnished metal and warm neutral textiles to draw out the coppery flecks without competing with the small-scale texture.

The deep blue-green ground and fine coppery flecks bring quiet depth to upholstered seating and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
