About this fabric

The swatch shows a deep blue-teal ground, with fine woven lines creating gentle tonal variation across the surface. The colour is saturated rather than pastel, reading clean and cool while the weave prevents it from appearing flat. At 280gsm and 137cm usable width, Alora Bluejay is a versatile mid-weight fabric for upholstery or drapery. With a 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal pattern repeat, it can be planned as a plain without motif matching, and its standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-teal tone on a reading chair, occasional seat or full-length curtain where a strong colour is wanted without a decorative pattern. Balance its depth with pale timber, warm ivory or softly contrasting neutral upholstery.

Use this cool, saturated blue-teal weave to bring crisp colour and subtle texture to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

Alora Bluejay is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
