Spring Leaves Fennel

Country Woodland Fabrics FabricSAF0217-02

Spring Leaves Fennel has a pale, airy ground with a delicate all-over leaf pattern that reads softly and quietly in the room. The design feels light and botanical, with the motif sitting close to the surface rather than appearing bold or contrasty.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 499 gsm textile with a usable width of 141 cm, making it a solid choice for upholstered pieces that need presence as well as pattern. The 41 cm vertical repeat and 35.5 cm horizontal repeat create a gentle, rhythmic trail of foliage across the cloth. In this colourway, the fennel tone is an understated green with a cool, misty cast, softened by the pale ground so the leaves look almost frosted. The overall effect is fresh and country-inspired rather than bright, with the small floral-leaf detail giving the fabric a calm, layered surface.

How to use it

Use it on a skirted armchair, headboard or snug seating where the soft green can add freshness without dominating. It works especially well with ivory paint, washed oak and muted botanical accents.

Pairs beautifully with bleached wood, chalky neutrals and quietly traditional rooms.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Spring Leaves Fennel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
