The Allotment Fennel

Country Woodland Fabrics FabricSAF0221-01

The Allotment Fennel shows a detailed country-garden scene in a pale fennel green printed over an ivory ground. The design feels airy and lightly botanical, with the drawing kept delicate so the pattern stays readable rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 252 gsm weight, making it versatile enough for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeat is 68 cm vertically and 64 cm horizontally, which suits the large-scale garden vignette visible in the swatch. In this Fennel colourway, the linework settles into a soft sage-green tone that feels fresh, muted and slightly chalky against the warm off-white background. The effect is quieter than a bright green print and gives the scenes of sheds, plants and path-side planting a gentle, pastoral character.

How to use it

Use it on a statement armchair, bench seat or curtains where the soft green can sit against painted wood, rush, oak or limewashed walls. It works especially well in rooms that need a light, natural pattern without strong contrast.

A fresh, softly aged green that brings a calm country feel to relaxed interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside The Allotment Fennel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
