Albion Manilla

Albion Fabric

Albion Manilla presents an ornate damask design in a warm, softly muted beige. Its tonal raised pattern catches the light gently, revealing scalloped forms, curling foliage and rounded medallions across the woven surface.

About this fabric

The manilla colourway has a mellow oat-and-honey character, with enough tonal variation to give the beige ground visible depth. A repeating arrangement of shell-like arches, scrolling leaves and central circular motifs creates a traditional damask impression without sharp contrast. The close woven texture looks softly napped and tactile, allowing the raised pattern to emerge through subtle shadow. Its balanced scale and calm tonal palette make the decoration feel polished rather than overpowering.

How to use it

Pair Albion Manilla with warm ivory, natural timber and aged brass for a quietly traditional room, or use it to soften deeper brown and taupe furnishings. The warm beige tone is particularly effective on an upholstered chair, headboard or full-length curtain where the woven relief can be seen in changing light.

Use this warm manilla tone to bring softly layered pattern and tactile depth to seating, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Albion Manilla without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
