About this fabric

The fabric combines charcoal-grey and softer grey threads to create a restrained, low-contrast ornamental surface. Large circular medallions, scalloped arches and curling foliage repeat across the design, giving the cloth a formal traditional character. Its visibly dense woven construction makes it best suited to upholstery rather than lightweight dressing. No performance features, composition, width or rub-test data are noted in the supplied specification for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Albion Smoke on a classic armchair, dining chair or sofa where its cool grey ground can temper ornate timber and warm wood tones. Keep surrounding textiles quieter so the tonal medallions remain the main decorative detail.

The cool smoky-grey tone and ornate tonal damask suit classic upholstered chairs, sofas and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
