Albion Parchment

Albion Fabric

Albion Parchment is a softly warm beige damask with a quietly dimensional surface. Its pale parchment ground lets the scrolling foliage and rounded medallions emerge in close tonal relief.

About this fabric

The fabric features a repeating formal arrangement of curved medallions, leaf scrolls and ornamental foliage, arranged in horizontal bands across the cloth. A raised, ribbed weave gives the motifs definition without introducing a strong colour contrast, creating a gently shadowed appearance. The warm parchment tone reads lighter across the raised pattern and deeper in the recessed ground, adding restrained depth to the overall design. With no further performance or composition specification supplied, its structured woven appearance makes it especially suited to considered upholstery applications.

How to use it

Pair Albion Parchment with warm ivory, oatmeal and aged wood for a calm, traditional room, or use it to soften darker walnut and antique brass. Its pale beige tone works particularly well on a feature chair or upholstered headboard where the tonal damask can be seen clearly.

Use this softly warm, tonal damask on a statement chair, upholstered headboard or traditionally styled sofa.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
