Chiltern Buttercup

Chiltern Fabric

Chiltern Buttercup has a warm buttercup-ochre tone that settles into a softly muted, earthy yellow. Its fine woven surface gives the folded cloth a subtle grid-like texture and gentle changes of depth.

About this fabric

The visible weave is close and even, with tiny pale and deeper threads creating a softly grained surface rather than a printed motif. In the folds, the ochre shade shifts from light honey-beige highlights to richer brown-gold shadows, giving the plain design useful tonal movement. The cloth appears to be a versatile mid-weight suitable for upholstery or drapery. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this warm buttercup colour to bring mellow golden depth to a neutral room, particularly on occasional upholstery, relaxed curtains or cushions layered with cream, tan and soft brown.

A warm, softly textured buttercup weave for relaxed upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
