About this fabric

Large ogee-shaped medallions fill the surface, containing layered floral and foliate details with smaller ornamental motifs between them. The palette moves from muted taupe and brown through charcoal and softened stone accents, so the design feels warm and subdued rather than bright. A fine horizontal woven texture is visible across the ground and motifs, adding tactile depth to the intricate pattern. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use Cloisters Taupe on a traditional armchair, ottoman or occasional sofa where its warm brown-taupe depth can act as the room’s main pattern. Pair it with dark wood, aged brass, tobacco leather and quiet stone neutrals to complement its charcoal detailing.

A richly detailed taupe damask with a dark, antique character, suited to statement upholstery and traditional interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
